TX CURE To Churches, Organizations, and Concerned Citizens
Texas is the only state that does not pay prisoners for their work. They are dependent on family and friends to send money for hygiene products, fans, radios, etc. However, the families of many prisoners are the poorest of the poor, struggling to survive without the primary breadwinner. Many prisoners are old, so their parents and even some of their siblings are dead. TX CURE is a prison reform group whose purpose is to work with prisoners, their families, friends, and the public, to reduce crime through prevention and rehabilitation. We started in Texas and will celebrate our 35th anniversary next October. CURE became a national organization in 1985 and international in 2001. CURE has over forty chapters in the U.S.A. * Fans cost $20. * Every penny donated goes to purchase fans. TX CURE pays all other expenses. * Send a check or money order to TX CURE Fan Project at the address above and note that it is for fans. · We are a 501c3 non-profit group, so donations are tax deductible.
